So far, 2019 has seen a whirlwind of changes at Darby's Dog Bakery & Deli - and we're not even halfway through the year yet!

We made a decision early on in January to replace our stand-up pouches as they really weren't, well, standing up particularly well. As you can imagine, at markets we are put to the test with uneven ground and wild weather and unfortunately the side walls of the pouches meant they would often sag or fall forward off the table. After testing out a few substitutes we found a solution that was durable, stayed standing up and meant that we could finally use the same size and style bag between our cookie and jerky ranges. The change also brought forward the option of utilising higher quality stickers and printing so we took the opportunity to re-design the labels and uplift the branding for Darby's - something that has been completely rolled out now. We hope you love it as much as we do!

Markets have been our greatest challenge in 2019 with falling attendance numbers and major site-works affecting several of our locations. Currently, we are committed to Handmade Canberra each quarter, The Hills UPmarket on the 4th Sunday of each month and sporadic appearances at The Rocks Markets. Our treats are also available from the Haus of Harley stand at Paddington Markets and Kirribilli Markets. Unfortunately our beloved Market by the River has been postponed due to construction of new amenities and re-turfing of the market surface and there is no ETA on a return at this stage.
